Kniziathon 2006
Congratulations to:

The McIntosh Family (Alasdair, Audrey, Briony & Rowan) who won the 2006 DiceConWest Kniziathon Family Championship; and
the Smith Family (Mike and Lawrence) the 2006 DiceConWest Kniziathon Family Championship runners up; and
the Evans Family (John, Deirdre and Eric) the 2006 DiceConWest Kniziathon Family Championship third place crew.
Gery McLaughlin made this event happen. He made sure we had a ton of Reiner's games to play and everything flowed from that. This year we had 31 players playing games like Einfach Genial, Honey Bears, Through the Desert, Ra, Modern Art, Samurai, Royal Turf, and plenty more.
As in last year's event, everyone just wanted to play. So lots of new gamers met new gamers and had a great time. The family participation was very welcome and everything ran smoothly.
Incidentally, though Gery M ruled himself out of the prizes, he didn't quite score enough to actually lose out on anything. No prizes for fourth this year!
Thanks to Reiner for designing the games and letting us run the event. It was hugely popular with a big increase in the interest and sheer number of games played. Hopefully this will continue to grow.
