Ivanhoe 2002 Championships
Congratulations to the DiceCon Ivanhoe tournament winner: Thomas Poulter.
Young Thomas waited patiently for the event to get underway. His patience paid dividends on more than one occasion as he made his way through the rounds to a hotly contested final where he resolutely stuck to his strategy, his guns and his cards and was a very deserved winner.
Funnily enough, Ivanhoe generated quite a few rules queries. This was unexpected as most of us had played the game for countless sessions without a hitch. But, gamers are an inventive lot and tournament play brings out that invention to the full so maybe it should not have been a surprise. And we sorted everything out to everyone's satisfaction so there were no problems.
Thomas went away with first place and his prize. The others went away, richer for the experience and resolving to come back next year to try again!
