Go East, Again, Old Man
At this year's DiceConEast we had about 50 gamers playing a wide, wide selection of games. We also had one tournament and several door prizes.
My Games
I managed to squeeze in a couple of games of Mesopotamia as well as complete games of Il Principe, Byzantium, Street Soccer, Sea-Sim and others. A full and satisfying day from my point of view.
Shear Panic
Gordon Lamont, half of the award winning Fragor Games outfit, was there with some of the spoils of his trip to Essen. He also had his own copy of Shear Panic to show - but not sell - after its sellout debut at that show. We understand the game will be reprinted so those of you who missed out will get another chance.
Memoir '44
John McLintock ran an excellent Memoir '44 tournament. The final results were:
- John Evans
- Andrew Curtis
- Mike Smith
- Sean McLaughlin
- John McLintock
- Donald Hosie
Door Prizes
Richard Adams, Tanya Fox and Michael Richardson all won door prizes. Not bad for a day's gaming!
Thanks
To everyone who came along, thanks. To everyone who gave a hand - especially the redoubtable father and son McLaughlin team - thanks. And to the Royal Overseas League for hosting us, thanks.
Next Year
We will probably return to the same venue unless there's a good reason not to. So now's your chance to let us know if you have any strong feelings on the topic.
